Referred patients who are entitled to receive three hours of free treatment at Cedars will receive an information leaflet from the Focus Information Centre and will request that they email Cedars to make the first contact.
A consultation will be arranged with a therapist to discuss the treatments and personal preferences.

Reiki
Japanese for ‘universal life force’. It is a system of natural healing.
During a treatment you will simply lie on a massage couch or in a comfortable sitting position. There is no need for you to remove your clothing. The therapist gently places their hands in a sequence of positions over the whole body. A full treatment takes an hour and a half with each position held for several minutes.
Reiki will give you a total sense of relaxation, well being and warmth, whilst clearing negative energy from the chakras.
Massage
One of the oldest therapies in existence, is a form of structured or therapeutic touch which can be used to relax, relieve muscle tension and pain, to bring about comfort and a strong sense of wellbeing.
There are many different types of massage therapy available at Cedars and you will be advised which would be the most appropriate for your needs.
For example:
Swedish Body massage or a relaxing back massage will involve sweeping effleurage strokes, gentle kneading of tension areas or deep pressure depending on your needs.
Decleor Aromassage is a luxurious aromatherapy massage using natural balms that melt into your skin leaving you totally relaxed and your skin nourished. Combining Thai, neruomuscular and Swedish massage techniques with accupressure, tensions are soothed and stress released, reviving your body with renewed energy.
Aromatherapy massage is a traditional massage where essential oils that are extracted from flowers, plants and trees, they are blended together to improve health and wellbeing. Different oils are believed to have different effects. It is a less flowing massage with much focus on pressure points and lymph drainage, it provides a healing benefit on a different level to Swedish massage.
Reflexology is a specialist massage of the feet or hands that is related to Chinese acupressure. Different areas of the feet represent different areas of the body. By massaging these areas it is thought to stimulate the flow of energy along channels in the body. Many people report that reflexology can relieve nausea, encourage better sleep patterns and help reduce tension and pain. It can also help energy levels, relieving stress and anxiety, giving a greater sense of wellbeing.
Hopi Ear Candles, using a beeswax Hopi candle that is lit and placed into the ear canal whilst drawing wax and blockages out of the ear, relieving headaches and sinusitis, glue ear and congestion. Combined with an Indian head massage is the ultimate treatment for a fussy head or tinitus.
Indian Head Massage is a treatment designed to alleviate stress and tension of the upper body. You would sit in a chair with a towel wrapped around your chest area and the therapist stands behind you whilst they work away the tension of the shoulders, arms and scalp.
Hot Stone massage uses the volcanic stones placed on key energy points throughout the body. Traditional massage techniques carry the stones whilst the deep penetrating heat warms the body muscles. Ideal for muscle tension and a real indulgence.
Lavashells are similar to Hot Stone massage and are the latest in deep heat massage as they are highly polished and smooth so glide easily over the body contours, and is ideal for sensitive skins.
La Sultane de Saba hand or foot rituals is a 7-step traditional ritual to tranform the hand or feet into tip top shape. With a cleansing and nail whitening treatment, exfoliation, buffing and tidying before a massage followed by a nourishing warm honey rose and ginger wrap.
