Cedars Fundrasing Events...
Daryl Greenwood Celebration
We enjoyed a beautiful evening in celebration of Daryl Greenwood and raised over £6300 for Cedars Amethyst Trust. Daryl, who was set to be the face of the Trust, sadly lost her battle to cancer last year.
In honour of Daryl’s birthday, the evening was organised by Daryl’s Husband Andrew, her daughters and Angie Petkovic, the MD of apt marketing & pr, at the Prince Michael Hall at Dean Close School. A silent auction, tickets sales and generous donations all contributed to the fabulous amount raised for the Trust.
Bridal Showcase
To raise money for the trust, we held a Bridal Showcase at Cedars Health and Beauty Salon. A range of treatment demonstrations took place, from bridal make up to massage therapies, with help from the Cedars team and lots of goodies were won in our raffle. We managed to raise a lovely £81.
Finally, a big big thank you to The Vanilla Pod Bakery, Peter Hickman Hair, Cotswold Bride, Julie Warner Photography and Bow Bells Flowers for joining us!
Forest of Dean Trails - Half Marathon
Rob Moore raised over £270 for Cedars Amethyst Trust by running the Forest of Dean Trails Half Marathon in March.
Thank you Rob for all of your hard work, and well done on your respectable time of 1 hour, 50 minutes!
Cedars Moroccan Night
In February, Cedar's hosted a beautiful Moroccan evening with treatments and pampering. We raised a fantastic £104 whilst treating clients with luxury Moroccan oils and melted shea butter, as they enjoyed tasty Moroccan nibbles and green tea.
Cedars Christmas Fayre
Such a spectacular show!
We held treatment demonstrations and our taster sessions were a huge success! The lovely Christmas Gift Ideas were just what we needed to start of our shopping, and best of all, our raffle proceeds hugely contributed to our Amethyst Trust total fund.
P.s. The wine and nibbles served by Sexy Waiters went down a treat!
The Amethyst Gig
Stressechoes, Carly Daley, and John Madden & Tom Mitchell performed a mix of acoustic delights and power pop at Slak Bar, in November last year. The event was arranged by Laura Mundy on behalf of the Amethyst Trust. The proceeds from ticket sales contributed to our climbing fundraising total.
Great support was shown for the trust, and a great night had by all! A big thank you to everyone that joined us!
GL1 Leisure Centre Ball
GL1 hosted a joint fundraiser in aid of Children in Need, The Amethyst Trust and the Scoo-B-Doo charity, for the Special Baby Care Unit at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, in November.
Such a great event for such wonderful causes! We raised over £400 for the Amethyst Trust so huge thanks to everyone that supported the Charities!
Purple Day
Gloucester businesses went Amethyst - What a bright and fresh way to raise money and contribute to the Amethyst Trust!
On Friday 10th September, we held Purple Day encouraging lots of local business to get involved and raise funds. Many members of the Gloucester business community donned purple outfits to work and donated £1 to the Trust.
Thank you to Charles Russell, Sainsbury’s at Gloucester Quays and Morrisons in Abbeydale for all of your efforts! The trust is extremely grateful for the tireless work committed to supporting and ensuring the longevity of the Cedars Amethyst Trust.
The Amethyst Ball
We went Amethyst with our ball gowns and got our dancing shoes on for The Amethyst Ball, hosted by Marketing Gloucester’s Business Champions Programme in September!
The elusive event was held at Kingsholm Stadium, the home of Gloucester Rugby, and was a huge success! A fabulous 3 course dinner was served and guests enjoyed the casino and live band.
Finally, we held a charity auction and raised almost £2,500 to contribute towards the Amethyst Trust.
A big thank you to everyone that attended, the night was fabulous and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves in aid of this worthy cause.
